2012-13: Made his professional hockey debut with Binghamton (AHL) recording 29 points (seven goals, 22 assists) and 33 penalty minutes in 69 games ... Had appeared in all but one of the B-Sens’ contests until his April 10 recall to Ottawa where he remained for the duration of the season and playoffs ... Made his NHL debut in a 3-1 Senators win at Philadelphia on April 11 and earned his first NHL point in that contest with an assist ... Scored his first NHL goal, the eventual game-winner (on Martin Brodeur) in a 2-0 Ottawa win on April 12 at New Jersey ... Appeared in each of the Senators 10 post-season contests, tying for second in goals (four) and fifth in points (six) ... Both of his regular season goals with Ottawa were game-winning markers ... Became the second Senator in franchise history to record a hat trick with the club in the post-season and only the fifth NHL player to do so in the playoffs before his 21st birthday with three goals against Montreal in an eventual 6-1 Game 3 win over the Canadiens on May 5 ... Was named the B-Sens Rookie of the Year and recognized with the club’s 7th Player Award.
