Bridgeport 2   Binghamton 1

Jeff Hamilton's third period power play goal lifted Bridgeport to its ninth win in the last ten games, a 2-1 decision over the Binghamton Senators Sunday afternoon at the Arena at Harbor Yard.

The Sens scored first when Josh Langfeld was credited with his ninth of the year as Sound Tiger defenseman Jarrett Cole sent a cross ice pass off of Bridgeport goaltender Dieter Kochan (16 saves) and into the net 2:09 into the game.

Kevin Colley evened the count at 1-1 when he drilled a Mattias Weinhandl drop feed past Sens goalie Ray Emery (23 saves) at 7:38 of the second period.

Dennis Bonvie was sent off for high sticking at 3:20 of the final period setting the stage for Hamilton's game-winner.

Brandon Smith and Eric Manlow combined to set up Hamilton, who stationed himself just above the interior hash marks.

Hamilton wasted no time in snapping home his AHL-leading 13th goal, eight of which have come on the power play.

Binghamton went scoreless in their five power play chances while allowing only the Hamilton man-up marker in five shorthanded situations.

The win moved the Sound Tigers into a second place tie with the Senators, each with 24 points and four behind front-running Hershey in the East Division.

The clubs will meet again Thanksgiving Night at the Broome County Veterans Memorial Arena in a special 6:05 p.m. faceoff.
