BINGHAMTON, N.Y. – The Binghamton Senators announced today that they have reached a formal agreement with Time Warner which will allow them to broadcast eight regular season home games on Time Warner Cable Sports during the 2010-11 American Hockey League season.
Time Warner Cable Sports is Central and Northern New York’s first and only local sports channel which highlights a wide array of high school, collegiate and professional sports.
“We are thrilled to enter this partnership with the Binghamton Senators,” said Time Warner Cable Sports Director Doug Logan. “We pride ourselves in offering our subscribers the best in local and regional sports. Thanks to Tom Mitchell (B-Sens’ Executive vice president of operations) and Terry Buczkowski (B-Sens’ Vice president of marketing and business development), the excitement of Senators Hockey will now be a fantastic fixture in our programming lineup.”
The partnership with Time Warner Cable Sports will enable hockey fans in over 625,000 households throughout Central and Upstate New York the opportunity to see the B-Sens in action. Markets in the region include Binghamton, Elmira, Syracuse, Utica and as far north as Watertown.
“This is a tremendous opportunity to further promote our team, our sponsors, and the American Hockey League throughout the region while highlighting a number of key matchups with some of our greatest New York State rivals”” said Buczkowski. “Seeing a live hockey game at the Arena is great, and now we’ll be able to introduce that excitement to even more fans watching at home.
