B-SENS OPEN TRAINING CAMP IN NEWFOUNDLAND, CANADA

BINGHAMTON, N.Y. – The Binghamton Senators announced today that they will kick off their 2010 training camp in Newfoundland, Canada.

The B-Sens will join the Hamilton Bulldogs (American Hockey League affiliate to the Montréal Canadiens) on Wednesday, Sept. 29 for a five day stretch of training camp, which includes a three-game series to be played between the intra-conference rivals throughout the province.

“Training camp in Newfoundland will be an early opportunity for team bonding and makes sense for the Senators because of logistical circumstances within our own building in Binghamton,” explained Tom Mitchell, Executive vice president of operations for the B-Sens. “This trip is also an excellent opportunity to promote not only Binghamton Senators hockey, but the American Hockey League.”

The game schedule is as follows (all times Eastern):

Thursday, Sept. 30, 6 p.m. at Pepsi Centre in Corner Brook

Saturday, Oct. 2, 12:30 p.m. at Joe Byrne Memorial Stadium in Grand Falls-Windsor

Sunday, Oct. 3, 12:30 p.m. at Mile One Stadium in St. John’s

The B-Sens return to Binghamton on Monday, Oct. 4 and plan to resume training camp at the Broome County Veterans Memorial Arena on Tuesday, Oct. 5.

2010-11 full-season, half-season tickets and coupon books are on sale now. Contact the Binghamton Senators’ executive office at 607-722-7367 for additional information on ticket packages.
