B-SENS ANNOUNCE PERSONNEL CHANGE

BINGHAMTON, N.Y. - The Binghamton Senators announced today that New business development executive, Nathaniel Newborn, has been recalled by the National Hockey League's Florida Panthers.  Newborn will be reporting to Sunrise, F.L. on June 3 to take on the role of Youth hockey and fan development coordinator.

Newborn, who is being called-up for the first time in his career to the NHL, has worked 38 games for the B-Sens this season, notching 27 new sponsorship deals, 154 group nights and implementing three new programs (Hockey & Heels, Nooners and the B-Sens' High School Challenge) for Senators fans.

In 78 career American Hockey League games (38 with the Senators, 40 with the Iowa Chops), the Pittsburgh, P.A. native has registered long hours of dedication to the sport, while amassing life long friends in the two very different cities.  In 78 AHL games, the 24-year-old Newborn had only this to say, “It has been a life long dream of mine to make it to the “SHOW”.  I finally have that opportunity with a great organization, the Florida Panthers.  I do not plan to slow down or settle for making it.  I want to continue to improve on my career and grow as a person.”

“Nate has been a tremendous asset to the B-Sens. We are sorry to see him leave, but are proud to carry on the American Hockey League tradition of preparing players and personnel for the National Hockey League. The entire Binghamton Senators organization wishes him luck in his new position,” said Jason Camp, Vice-president of sales for the Binghamton Senators.

The B-Sens will be hurting without the services of Newborn, but are currently looking for talent of his caliber.  Interested parties are encouraged to visit the AHL Job Board.
