The B-Sens dropped the first of back-to-back games versus the Adirondack Phantoms Wednesday night, falling by a score of 5-3. The rookies led the charge in scoring for the B-Sens as Erik Condra, Craig Schira and Brandon Svendsen all recorded goals in the contest. Patrick Maroon tallied two goals and an assist for the Phantoms, including the game winner. Jonathan Matsumoto also had a three point night as he assisted on three of the five Adirondack goals. 
 
Friday, Jan. 29: Binghamton 1, Adirondack 2
Shots: Binghamton 29, Adirondack 19
PP: Binghamton 1 for 6, Adirondack 0 for 4
 
Despite outshooting the Phantoms 29 to 19, the B-Sens fell for the second straight game versus Adirondack. Ryan Keller scored the lone goal for Binghamton, his team-leading 21st of the season. Andy Chiodo manned the net for Binghamton making 17 saves, while his counter part Johan Backlund ended the home and home series between the Phantoms and the B-Sens having stopped 59 Binghamton shots.
 
Saturday, Jan. 30: Binghamton 1, Syracuse 5
Shots: Binghamton 32, Syracuse 33
PP: Binghamton 1 for 5, Syracuse 1 for 4
 
The B-Sens travelled to Syracuse to take on the Crunch in the final meeting between these two teams before the Outdoor Classic on Feb. 20. The game was all Crunch. Mike Radja tallied two Syracuse goals and an assist as he helped to lead his team to the 5-1 victory over the Senators. Jared Aulin also recorded three points against Binghamton as he notched a goal and two assists. Josh Hennessy recorded the lone B-Sens goal. Andy Chiodo played the first period, stopping only 9 of 13 Crunch shots on goal. Chris Holt played the remainder of the game between the pipes for the B-Sens stopping 19 of 20.
 
Sunday, Jan. 31: Binghamton 1, Hershey 6
Shots: Binghamton 33, Hershey 29
PP: Binghamton 0 for 3, Hershey 1 for 6
 
The B-Sens ended a week they hope to soon forget, dropping a 6-1 decision to the American Hockey League leading Hershey Bears at the Giant Center. Erik Condra recorded his second goal of the week, the lone B-Sens tally. It was the third consecutive game in which the Senators only managed one goal. Alexandre Giroux had a four point night for the Bears with two goals and two assists, while Keith Aucoin managed three with a goal and an assist. Chris Holt played the full 60 minutes in goal for the B-Sens making 23 saves. 
 
Record:19-22-3-1
Standings:The B-Sens are seventh place in the East division (42 points)
 
THIS WEEK…
 
Friday, Feb. 5 vs. Albany River Rats (Carolina Hurricanes)
 
The B-Sens look to bounce back from a four-game losing skid as they host the East Division rival Albany River Rats. The River Rats currently sit at second place in the division at 57 points (26-17-3-2). The B-Sens boast an edge on Albany all-time at home with a record of 15-11-2-0 and enter the week undefeated against the River Rats this season. The B-Sens recorded a 2-0 win versus Rats in Albany on Nov. 4 and earned a commanding 4-1 victory against the Rats at the Broome County Veterans Memorial Arena on Nov. 21. Ryan Keller (2 G, 1 A) and Martin St. Pierre (1 G, 2 A) have each recorded three points against Albany so far in the season series. 
 
Promotions: Friday is 80’s night with the B-Sens presented by Riunite! Fans are encouraged to wear their 80’s best for this sure to be fun-filled throw back party! Odd Man Out will be playing 80’s music on the concourse throughout the night.
                                                                                                                                                             
Saturday, Feb. 6 vs. Rochester Americans (Florida Panthers)
 
The B-Sens host the North Division’s Amerks this Saturday in the sixth of ten regular season meetings between the two clubs. The B-Sens have struggled against the Amerks this season, going 1-4-0-0 against Rochester, the only win (a 5-0 shutout victory) coming Nov. 28 at the Broome County Veterans Memorial Arena. The Amerks enter the week having gone 4-6 in their last ten road games. Odds are the B-Sens could face Alexander Salak in goal for Rochester. Salak enters the week ranked second overall among goaltenders in the American Hockey League in wins, with a record of 22-7-0 in 31 games played.
 
Promotions: Saturday night is Jimmy Buffet night with the B-Sens! Join the Susquehanna Rum Runners, presented by KHM Inc., in the Arena Club for a pre-game Parrot Head Party at 5 p.m. The band will also perform a post-game concert on the Arena concourse.
 
Don’t forget to bring your skates! Immediately following the match fans will be able to join the B-Sens for a post-game skate with the players.
 
Also Saturday, the B-Sens “Drop the Puck” on lung cancer. At 4:30 p.m. the Syracuse Grey Wolves will take on River Meade hockey in an exhibition game to help raise money and awareness for lung cancer.
 
SENS SNIPPITS   
 
Ryan Keller earned Binghamton's nomination for American Hockey League Player of the Month for the month of January.  Keller put up 13 points (8 G, 5 A) in 12 games played.  The right wing put up points in eight consecutive games beginning Jan. 10 at Rochester through Jan. 30 at Syracuse.  Keller also had three multi-point games in the month of January, including a three point night (2 G, 1 A) Jan. 15 vs. Wilkes-Barre/Scranton.
 
Elmira Jackals forward Keegan Dansereau recorded his first professional hat trick Sunday, Jan. 31 as the Jackals defeated the Toledo Walleye 5-4 at First Arena in Elmira, N.Y. Dansereau has appeared in 14 games this season with the B-Sens recording two goals, two assists.

B-SENS BRINGING IT HOME TO THE COMMUNITY…
 
Tuesday, Feb. 2 at 1:30 p.m. Brandon Svendsen and Cody Bass will be visiting Brookside Elementary School in Binghamton as part of the Rally for Education program. The players will part take in an assembly with the students to help promote a positive attitude towards school and will take students questions.
 
Wednesday, Feb. 3 at 7:30 p.m. Martin St. Pierre and Jason Bailey will join the Binghamton Senators Booster Club for their monthly meeting at the Relief Pitcher (197 Conklin Ave., Binghamton). The players will mingle with booster club members and part take in a question and answer session.
