The Binghamton Senators announced today the club’s promotional schedule for the 2008-09 season, which is highlighted by premium giveaways, theme nights and special appearances.
For the B-Sens home opener on Friday, Oct. 17, everyone in attendance will receive a 2008-09 magnet schedule, presented by Kost Tire.
The first 1,000 fans through the doors on Friday, Oct. 31 (Halloween) will receive a Jeremy Yablonski Halloween T-shirt, presented by TeamWorld. The team will also wear special Halloween-themed jerseys during that night’s game against the Bridgeport Sound Tigers with a live jersey auction immediately after the game.
On Saturday, Nov. 1, the first 2,500 fans through the doors will receive a one-of-a-kind Denis Hamel bobblehead, presented by the Binghamton Hockey Booster Club.
A B-Sens hat giveaway, presented by Roberts Eyecare, takes place on Saturday, Nov. 8. The first 2,500 fans through the doors will receive a unique B-Sens hat.
The B-Sens One Millionth Fan celebration will take place on Saturday, Nov. 22. Various prizes will be awarded to one lucky fan. A cruise vacation for two people, presented by Jetaway Travel, highlights the prizes for this special night.
Thunder sticks, presented by Verizon Wireless, will be given to the first 1,500 fans through the doors on Saturday, Nov. 29, Saturday, Jan. 24 and Friday, Mar. 13.
The second specialty jersey night of the season takes place on Friday, Dec. 19 when the B-Sens wear holiday-themed jerseys, presented by John Manley Auto Center, with a live auction immediately after the game.
Binghamton plays its traditional New Year’s Eve game on Wednesday, Dec. 31, with every fan in attendance receiving a team poster presented by Off Track Betting.
The noise meter will be up on Saturday, Jan. 10 with a B-Sens cowbell giveaway, presented by Amphenol. The first 2,500 fans into the Broome County Veterans Memorial Arena will receive this collectable item.
When the B-Sens host Springfield on Saturday, Jan. 31, the first 1,000 through the doors will receive a commemorative puck, presented by MWV and Mead Westvaco.
United Health Services (UHS) presents “I Heart Hockey” on Friday, Feb. 13. With February being American Heart Month, the organization will team with UHS to enhance awareness about cardiovascular diseases and to raise money for heart research.
Celebrate Valentines Day on Saturday, Feb. 14 with the B-Sens where one lucky fan entering the Arena will receive a B-Sens pendant jewelry piece, presented by Comfort and Son Jewelers.
The annual Kids Club Night takes place on Wednesday, Feb. 18. All members of Max’s Kids Club, sponsored by McDonalds, are invited to attend.
Veggie Tales characters Bob and Larry return to the Arena for the second straight year on Friday, Feb. 27.
The ZOOperstars will make an appearance at the Arena on Saturday, Mar. 14. The B-Sens will also be wearing St. Patrick’s Day-themed jerseys with a live auction immediately after the game.
The B-Sens celebrate Seuss-A-Palooza on Friday, Mar. 27 with a Dr. Seuss hat giveaway to the first 1,000 fans, 12 and under, to enter the Arena. Dr. Seuss characters will be in attendance to interact with kids throughout the night.
The Senators once again team with the American Cancer Society for the Face Off Against Cancer, presented by Lourdes, on Saturday, Apr. 4. The night honors survivors, raises money for cancer research and enhances awareness about cancer. The B-Sens will wear special pink jerseys in their game against Albany that night, with a live jersey auction following the game and all the proceeds going to the American Cancer Society.
To close the regular season on Friday, Ap. 10,Jack Sherman Toyota will give away a vehicle as part of the season-long Chuck-A-Puck promotion. The Senators also celebrate Fan Appreciation Night with a team poster giveaway.
