The Binghamton Senators continued their dominance over the Atlantic Division with a 3-1 victory over the Portland Pirates on Tuesday night at the Cumberland County Civic Center. The victory extends the B-Sens record to 5-0-0-0 against Atlantic Division opponents this season.

Netminder Jeff Glass posted 38 saves to power the B-Sens to victory. Over his last two starts, Glass has turned aside 80 of 82 shots while allowing just one goal in each game.

Newcomers Mark Bomersback, Bryan McGregor, Matt Pope and Matt Taormina each collected points in their first game with Binghamton.

McGregor put the B-Sens on the scoreboard late in the first period when he scooped up a loose puck after a Neil Petruic shot and beat netminder Kellen Briggs. Taormina added to the B-Sens lead when he converted early in the second period off a feed from Ilya Zubov.

The Pirates responded later in the middle period when Derek Whitmore netted an even-strength marker.

Left-winger Denis Hamel iced the game in the third period when he buried his team-leading 23rd goal of the season off a feed from Pope.

The B-Sens (34-23-5-3, 76 pts.) close out their Atlantic Division schedule Wednesday night as they take on the Worcester Sharks (32-28-1-2, 67 pts.) at 7:05 p.m.  Tune into 680 WINR-AM or 1430 WENE-AM 30 minutes before game time for Countdown to Faceoff with Grady Whittenburg, Voice of the B-Sens.  Fans can also tune in to B-Sens’ games via webcast or streaming video cast at www.ahllive.com.
