B-SENS DROP SECOND STRAIGHT GAME TO ADMIRALS (Photo-John Wright)

The Binghamton Senators got two early goals from Greg Mauldin but were unable to hold on to the lead as they fell by a 4-2 final to the Norfolk Admirals on Saturday night at Norfolk Scope. 
Mauldin buried both goals in the first period with Peter Regin assisting on both markers. The two goals tied a career-high for Mauldin, while Regin extended his assist streak to five games (0+6). Denis Hamel extended his point streak to six games (5+2) with an assist on Mauldin’’s first goal.
Former B-Sens forwards Brandon Bochenski and Grant Potulny each scored for the Admirals, with Bochenski netting the game-winning goal.
Netminder Martin Gerber made 34 saves in the losing effort. The B-Sens (29-20-5-3, 66 pts.) remaining in the fourth and final playoff position in the East Division, three points ahead of Philadelphia (30-24-2-1, 63 pts.).
Binghamton returns to home ice on Wednesday night when the Hershey Bears visit the Arena.
