The Binghamton Senators couldn’t duplicate their six-goal explosion from Wednesday as the Norfolk Admirals put 48 shots on net, including a 22-9 advantage in the opening frame, to hand Binghamton a 5-2 loss at Norfolk Scope on Friday night.

The Admirals struck for two power-play goals in the opening period. Jay Rosehill netted the first marker followed by Justin Keller.

Binghamton responded in the second period with a power-play marker from Denis Hamel. Peter Regin and Mattias Karlsson assisted on the B-Sens first goal. Hamel now has goals in three straight games and points in five straight (5+1). Regin extended his assist streak to four games (0+4) with the primary assist, while Karlsson tied the B-Sens franchise record with assists in eight straight (0+10).

Brandon Segal buried two goals over the next two periods for Norfolk and Keller would add another goal to seal the win for the Admirals.

Defenseman Tomas Kudelka netted a power-play tally just before the final buzzer to make it a 5-2 final.

Jeff Glass stopped a season-high 43 shots in the losing effort.

Binghamton and Norfolk return to the ice on Saturday night for the final game of the three-game set this week. Tune into 680 WINR-AM or 1430 WENE-AM 30 minutes before game time for Countdown to Faceoff with Grady Whittenburg, Voice of the B-Sens.  Fans can also tune in to B-Sens’ games via webcast or streaming video cast at www.ahllive.com
