VICTORIAVILLE, Q.C. – The Binghamton Senators kicked off preseason action north of the border tonight as they travelled to Victoriaville to take on the Hamilton Bulldogs. The Bulldogs would score four unanswered goals en route to a 4-1 victory over the defending Calder Cup champions.

Defenseman Bobby Raymond scored the lone Binghamton goal off a feed from Corey Locke at the 12 minute mark of the first period.

Hamilton’s Alexander Avtsin tied the game at one with just 1:47 remaining in the opening frame.

The teams would remain tied through 40 minutes of play.

The Bulldogs exploded offensively in the third period as Brian Willsie, Phillipe Lefebvre and Avtsin each found the back of the B-Sens net.

Goaltenders Mike McKenna and Brian Stewart split goaltending duties for Binghamton.

The teams meet for a rematch tomorrow night at 7 p.m. at the Centre Marcel-Dionne in Drummondville, Quebec.
