SENS SUFFER FIRST SHUTOUT LOSS OF SEASON IN WILKES-BARRE

The Binghamton Senators were handed their first shutout loss of the 2008-09 season on Saturday night at the hands of the Wilkes-Barre Scranton Penguins.
 
Wilkes-Barre/Scranton netminder Adam Berkhoel turned away 27 shots to power the Penguins to a 3-0 win at Wachovia Arena at Casey Plaza.
 
B-Sens netminder Brian Elliott made 29 saves in the losing effort for Binghamton. Defenseman Brendan Bell saw his 11-game point streak (6+7) snapped. 
 
The B-Sens cap a busy week with a Sunday evening (5 p.m.) contest against the Hershey Bears at Giant Center. Tune into 680 WINR-AM or 1430 WENE-AM 30 minutes before game time for Countdown to Faceoff with Grady Whittenburg, Voice of the B-Sens. Fans can also tune in to B-Sens’ games via webcast or streaming video cast at www.ahllive.com
