Friday, Feb. 18 vs. Charlotte Checkers (Carolina Hurricanes)
This Friday the B-Sens will welcome the Charlotte Checkers back to the Broome County Veterans Memorial Arena. The Checkers last visit to Binghamton was Dec. 18 (a 4-2 B-Sens loss). The Checkers currently rank third overall in the East Division with a record of 30-19-2-4. In five of eight games played against the division rival this season, the B-Sens are 2-2-1-0. Going into Friday’s match, Charlotte is without the services of leading scorer Jerome Samson (26 G + 28 A = 54 points), who is currently on recall to the Carolina Hurricanes. The B-Sens have been successful generating some offense against the Checkers this season. Four of captain Ryan Keller’s 18 goals this season have come against Charlotte. Corey Locke leads all B-Sens in points against the Checkers with six (one goal, five assists), while rookies Colin Greening (two goals, three assists) and Mike Hoffman (one goal, three assists) have also fared well against the division rivals.
Saturday, Feb. 19 vs. Albany Devils (New Jersey Devils)
The Albany Devils make their third trip to Binghamton this season on Saturday for the sixth of eight meetings between the teams. Albany (20-29-0-3) is currentlyin sixth place in the East Division standings, trailing the B-Sens going into the weekend by 19 points. The Devils kicked off a week of four games in six nights with a 3-0 shutout victory last night over the Charlotte Checkers. Binghamton will be looking to pull even in the season series as they currently find themselves 2-3-0-0 against the Devils so far this season. Both B-Sens victories over Albany this season have been shutouts and both have come in games that Barry Brust has started. Brust made 25 saves back on Dec. 10 as the B-Sens cruised to the 5-0 win over the Devils, while Jan. 19 he turned away 26 shots enroute to a 3-0 win.
Promotions: There will be a post-game skate with the players following Saturday’s game. Fans who wish to participate must bring their own skates.
The B-Sens’ three-game road sweep last week is a first for the B-Sens and pushes the club to a season-high eight games over .500. So far in 2011 the B-Sens are 13-5-1-1 (9-3-1-0 on the road).

Barry Brust tied a club record in Hershey Saturday as he earned his seventh straight win in goal. Billy Thompson and Ray Emery both accomplished this feat in the 2004-05 season.
Erik Condra made his National Hockey League debut with the Ottawa Senators last night, registering his first NHL point (an assist) in the Sens 4-3 shootout loss to the New York Islanders.
The Broome Sports Foundation will hold its annual sports memorabilia auction this weekend (Friday and Saturday) on the arena concourse. All proceeds from the auction will benefit the Tommy Mitchell Memorial Scholarship Fund. Each year, the Broome Sports Foundation awards scholarships in Tommy’s honor to local student athletes for the purpose of furthering their education.
On Monday, Feb. 21 from 5 to 7 p.m., Cody Bass and his Binghamton Senators teammates will hold a special outdoor skate at Highland Park (801 Hooper Rd., Endwell, N.Y.) to help raise awareness and funds for WINGS (When I Need Guidance & Support). Those who wish to participate must bring their own skates. There is no cost to skate. Hackerthreads.com will be on hand to sell WINGS t-shirts which were designed with the assistance of Bass and there will be refreshments available at the park concession stand.  Proceeds from the sale of t-shirts and refreshments will benefit WINGS. Visit www.binghamtonsenators.com for more information.
