Friday, Nov. 1: Binghamton 1, Adirondack 3
Shots: Binghamton 38, Adirondack 23
PP: Binghamton 0 for 3, Adirondack 0 for 3

Binghamton traveled to Glens Falls Civic Center looking for redemption after losing to the Phantoms 3-1 at the Broome County Arena the previous Saturday.  The B-Sens managed 38 shots on goal, but Adirondack was still able to walk away with another 3-1 victory.

Tye McGinn put the puck past Sens starting goaltender Andrew Hammond to start the scoring 2:26 into the opening period off feeds from Ben Holmstrom and Nick Cousins.  McGinn added his second of the game with under a minute and a half to go in the first to send the home team to intermission holding a 2-0 lead.

Despite managing 15 shots on net for the second consecutive period, Binghamton was not able to get anything to count offensively.  Phantoms goaltender Cal Heeter remained perfect after 40 minutes of play stopping all 30 B-Sens tries and holding the score at 2-0.

Chances proved to be minimal for both squads throughout the final period.  The penalty-kill unit produced the only offense of the night for Binghamton when Jean-Gabriel Pageau, who was recently assigned to the B-Sens from Ottawa, created a turnover deep in Adriondacks defensive zone and found Buddy Robinson to pull the game to 2-1 with just over five minutes remaining.  Phantoms Kris Newbury put the game out of reach for Binghamton when he added an empty-net insurance goal with 45 seconds remaining and sealed the win for the home team.

Andrew Hammond suffered his third loss of the season stopping 20 of 22 Adirondack shots.  Heeter improved to 3-2 squashing 37 of 38 Binghamton tries.

Saturday, Nov. 2: Binghamton 4, Syracuse 2
Shots: Binghamton 37, Syracuse 39
PP: Binghamton 0 for 4, Syracuse 1 for 5

Saturday the Sens hosted the Syracuse Crunch for the third time this season.  Shane Prince broke a 1-1 tie with 5:37 to go in the second period to put Binghamton on top for good and successfully end the Crunch five-game win streak.  Nathan Lawson returned to the ice after having Friday night off putting together a brilliant 37 save performance to earn his fifth victory of the year.

Mike Hoffman scored his team-leading fifth goal of the season at the 7:31 mark to open the scoring with Cody Ceci and Pageau earning the helpers.  Syracuse drew the game even on Evan Rankin’s power-play goal sending the teams to the locker room tied 1-1.

Prince put the Sens back on top with just over five minutes remaining in the second after knocking home a rebound from a Pageau shot to break the tie game. With just 10 seconds remaining in the period, Matt Puempel took a great behind the net feed from Pageau stretching Binghamton’s lead to 3-1.

Cole Schneider made it three unanswered scores for Binghamton less than six minutes into the final period putting the hosts in command 4-1.  Nikita Kucherov scored his league-leading eleventh goal of the year 7:38 into the third to cut the lead to 4-2, but that would be as close as they would get.

Lawson improved to 5-1 on the season with three of the victories coming against the Crunch.  Cedrick Desjardins made 33 saves for Syracuse but dropped to 2-3 on the year with the loss.  Pageau assisted on all four of Binghamton goals giving him five assists in two games since being assigned to the B-Sens by Ottawa on Thursday.
Record: 6-4-0-0

Standings: Binghamton currently sits in fourth place in the East Division with 12 points trailing third place Syracuse by one.  Wilkes-Barre/Scranton and Norfolk sit atop the division with 17 points each.
