The Binghamton Senators traveled to Mohegan Sun Arena at Casey Plaza on Tuesday where they sunk the Penguins, 5-1, in a rough and tumble game which saw a total of 142 taken by the two teams.
Shane Prince, Derek Grant and Pat Cannone each tallied even-strength goals. David Dziurzynski scored a shorthanded goal while Jack Downing scored on the power play.
Dominik Uher scored the lone goal for Wilkes-Barre/Scranton. 
Nathan Lawson started in goal for Binghamton, but then left the game with an injury early in the first. Lawson made three saves. Taking over for the B-Sens, Robin Lehner would turn aside 24 of 25 shots to earn the win. Jeff Zatkoff tended goal for Wilkes-Barre/Scranton, stopping 13 of 15 in the first, before Brad Thiessen would take over to stop 21 of 18 shots throughout the remaining two periods.
Friday, Feb. 15: Syracuse 7, Binghamton 1

PP: Syracuse 2 for 5, Binghamton 1 for 7
The Syracuse Crunch dominated the B-Sens at Broome County Veterans Memorial Arena on Friday, taking an easy 7-1 win.
Shane Prince scored the B-Sens only goal on the power play.
Syracuse forward J.T. Wyman completed a hat trick, scoring three goals for the Crunch including a shorthanded goal. Dana Tyrell and Brett Connolly each had power play goals, while Pierre-Cedric Labrie and Alex Hutchings each scored an even strength goal.
Robin Lehner started in goal for Binghamton, stopping 26 of 33 shots. Riku Helenius started in goal for Syracuse turning aside 33 of 34.
Saturday, Feb. 16: Wilkes-Barre/Scranton 5, Binghamton 2
Shots: Wilkes-Barre/Scranton 35, Binghamton 24
PP: Wilkes-Barre/Scranton 3 for 11, Binghamton 0 for 8  
The B-Sens lost a tough game to the Penguins on home ice Saturday, losing 5-2.
Tyler Eckford recorded a shorthanded goal for the B-Sens, while Jack Downing scored his third goal of the season late in the third period.
Chad Kolarik had a big game for the Penguins, finishing the game with a goal and three assists. Tyler Smith had two goals on the game. Brian Gibbons and Dylan Reese also tallied goals.
B-Sens Robin Lehner tended goal, stopping 30 of 35 shots. Brad Thiessen started in goal for Wilkes-Barre/Scranton,stopping 22 of 24 shots.
Sunday, Feb. 17: Binghamton 3, Albany 2
Shots: Binghamton 27, Albany 37
PP: Binghamton 1 for 5, Albany 0 for 4 
The B-Sens visited the Devils at Time Union Center on Sunday where they defeated Albany in the shootout, 3-2.
Cole Schneider scored on the power play, earning his sixth goal of the season. In the second period, Louie Caporusso also scored for Binghamton. Both Pat Cannone and Cole Schneider had goals in the shootout.
Corbin McPherson tallied a goal just 22 seconds into the game. Steve Zalewski also scored. Mike Sislo had Albany’s lone goal in the shootout.
Marc Cheverie got the start for Binghamton, making 35 saves on 37 shots. Keith Kinkaid tended goal for Albany, saving 24 out of 26 shots.
Standings:The B-Sens are second place overall in the East Division (65 points).

Friday, Feb. 22 vs. Hershey Bears (Washington Capitals) – 7:05 p.m.
The B-Sens will begin another three-game stretch this weekend as they host the Hershey Bears at Broome County Veterans Memorial Arena this Friday. This will be the sixth meeting between Binghamton and Hershey. The last time the B-Sens faced the Bears, they lost 4-3 at Hershey on Feb. 9. The B-Sens have a 3-2-0-0 record versus Hershey this season.
Hershey currently holds a record of 24-20-3-4 and 55 points. The Bears are tied with Wilkes-Barre/Scranton for third overall in the East Division. 
Hershey center Jeff Taffe is currently tied for first in the American Hockey League with 32 assists. Taffe is also the overall point leader for the Bears with 42 points. Former B-Sens forward Ryan Potulny has eight goals and 17 assists for 25 points in 42 games this season with the Bears.

Cost Cutters will be creating mohawks with their red spiker gel and other “wacky” hair-dos – both Friday and Saturday - for a $1 donation to the American Heart Association.
Saturday, Feb. 23 vs. Albany Devils (New Jersey Devils) – 7:05 p.m.
The B-Sens will face the Albany Devils for the second time in a week at home on Saturday night. The game will be the second time the B-Sens have faced the Devils at Broome County Veterans Memorial Arena.
Binghamton previously beat the Devils in Albany, 3-2, in the shootout on Feb. 17. The B-Sens lead the season series against Albany 2-1-0-1.
The Devils are tied with Bridgeport for third overall in the Northeast Division with a record of 20-19-1-9 and 50 points.
Matt Anderson currently leads Albany in points (29) and assists (19).

Sunday, Feb. 24 @ Adirondack Phantoms (Philadelphia Flyers) – 5 p.m.
The B-Sens visit the Glens Falls Civic Center Sunday evening where they will face the Adirondack Phantoms for the third game in three nights. Binghamton won their last match against Adirondack in Glens Falls, 3-0, on Feb. 6.
The B-Sens have yet to lose a game to Adirondack in regulation this season, earning at least a point in every game. The B-Sens boast a 3-0-0-1 record against the Phantoms and have outscored their Northeast
Division rival 17-9.
The Phantoms currently rank fifth in the Northeast Division with a record of 20-15-2-1 and 43 points. 
Jason Akeson and Danny Syret lead the team tied with 25 points among active players.
Rookie Louie Caporusso scored his first AHL goal in the 3-2, shootout win against the Albany Devils on Sunday, Feb. 17. Caporusso also earned his first assist of the year on Jack Downing’s goal against the Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Penguins on Feb. 16.
Sunday, Feb. 17, goaltender Marc Cheverie earned his first win of the season after defeating the Albany Devils in a shootout victory. Cheverie made 35 saves on 37 shots through regulation, while stopping five of six shots in the shootout. Cheverie has split the two games he has appeared in for the B-Sens this season, he currently holds a 1-1-0 record and a 2.90 goals-against average.
The Binghamton Senators will host the annual Broome Sports Foundation Auction to benefit the Tommy Mitchell Memorial Scholarship Fund this Friday and Saturday, Feb. 22 and 23, as they host the Hershey Bears and Albany Devils.
The silent auction will take place on the main concourse at the Broome County Veterans Memorial Arena. Over 100 unique items will be up for bid between Friday and Saturday. Items featured in the auction include autographed hockey jerseys, equipment, framed photos and much more.

Created in memory of Tommy Mitchell and dedicated to supporting the youth of the greater Binghamton community, the Broome Sports Foundation is a non-profit organization and the charitable arm of the Binghamton Senators. 
The Broome Sports Foundation proudly sponsors the Giving Kids an Edge Program and the Tommy Mitchell Memorial Scholarship Fund that is awarded each year to graduating student athletes in an effort to help them further their education. 
The Broome Sports Foundation has now awarded over $100,000 to local student athletes to help further their education. Since the inception of the Tommy Mitchell Memorial Scholarship fund in 1992, 82 local student athletes have been awarded scholarships.
