BINGHAMTON, N.Y. – The Binghamton Senators announced today that they have reassigned defenseman Brennan Turner to the Gwinnett Gladiators of the ECHL.
Turner, 24, began the season with the Elmira Jackals of the ECHL, before being reassigned to Gwinnett on Jan. 25. He has appeared in 41 total ECHL games this season, recording one goal, 12 assists and adding 100 penalty minutes.
Since his Feb. 11 recall, Turner has played four games for the B-Sens, amassing five penalty minutes.
The Winnipeg, Man. native spent the 2009-10 season in Elmira. In 62 games with the Jackals, Turner recorded 21 points (six goals, 15 assists) and amassed 144 penalty minutes. He led the team in plus-minus with a plus-33, setting a new Jackals franchise record for plus-minus.
The Binghamton Senators return to action tonight as they travel to Syracuse to face the Crunch. Game time is 7:35 p.m. Fans can listen live on 680 WINR-AM or 1430 WENE-AM beginning 30 minutes before game time for Countdown to Faceoff with Grady Whittenburg, the voice of the B-Sens.
