SENS' FOUR-GAME WINNING STREAK SNAPPED IN NORFOLK

Norfolk goalie Corey Crawford made 30 saves as the Norfolk Admirals beat the Binghamton Senators 2-0 in Virginia on Wednesday.

With the loss, Bridgeport claimed the fourth and final playoff spot in the East Division.  The Senators will miss the Calder Cup playoffs for the first time in the four-year franchise history.

Martin St. Pierre and Scott Bertoli gave Norfolk all the offense it would need while Crawford knotched his first pro shutout in the win.  Each of Bertoli's two goals this season have come against Binghamton.

Binghamton had a season-high four-game winning streak snapped in the loss.

The Senators will remain in Norfolk until Friday when the play the Admirals again at the Scope.  Game time is 7:15 p.m. and the action can be heard live on 680 WINR-AM with the voice of the Senators, Grady Whittenburg, calling all of the action.

Binghamton will close out the 2005-06 campaign with a home game against Albany on Sunday at 5:05 p.m.  Call (607) 722-SENS for ticket information.
