
Tomas Malec will return from Ottawa to Binghamton in time for the club’s American Hockey League Friday night home game vs. Bridgeport.
The Ottawa Senators had recalled defenceman Tomas Malecfrom the club’s American Hockey League affiliate, the Binghamton Senators, on an emergency basis to replace Anton Volchenkov, who was out with a stiff neck. This was Malec’s second call-up to the Ottawa Senators.
In Ottawa's Thursday night 5-3 loss to the Montreal Canadiens Malec played 13:19 minutes, was +1 on the night with 1 SOG and 2 PIM.
Cheesman has appeared in 69 games this season with the Wheeling Nailers of the ECHL. The 24-year old native of Peoria, IL has recorded 20 goals and 26 assists for 46 points this season in Wheeling. He has also logged 24 minutes in penalties.
As for Kudelka, the former 5th round pick of the Ottawa Senators has skated in 64 contests with the Western Hockey League's Lethbridge Hurricanes. The 6-foot-2 defenseman has six goals and 25 assists for 31 points to go along with his 77 penalty minutes.
Binghamton
is fifth in the East Division with 33 wins, 33 losses, four overtime and four shootout losses for 74 points. With six regular-season games remaining, the club is nine points out of a playoff position behind the Bridgeport Sound Tigers. The B-Sens'next game is Friday, April 7, when they play host to the Tigers.
