
The Binghamton Senators overcame a 2-1 deficit at the second intermission to win their third straight game, 4-2, against the Toronto Marlies on the road Tuesday night.
Charlie Stephens earned third star honors with three points (2 goals, 1 assist) and a +3 rating. Denis Hamel and Danny Bois also scored for Binghamton, who now has a three game winning streak for the first time this season. Toronto had a five-game winning streak snapped in the loss.
Stephens' first goal tied the game at 6:36 of the third period. Danny Bois then scored to put Binghamton ahead with a power-play goal with only 80 seconds remaining in regulation. Stephens scored on an empty net with only one second remaining to finish the evening's scoring.
Denis Hamel scored the Senators' first goal; he has now scored a goal in a franchise record five straight games.
Kelly Guard got the nod at starting goaltender and made 30 saves on 32 shots for the win.
Binghamton left for Syracuse following the victory. They will take on the Crunch tomorrow night. |
