BINGHAMTON – Tickets for the Binghamton Senators final game of the regular season at the Broome County Veterans Memorial Arena on Saturday have sold out.
The game against the Hershey Bears marks the Senators’ 14th sell out of the season and will bring average attendance for Binghamton Senators games played at the Arena to approximately 4,388. Last season’s average B-Sens home attendance was 4,360 while an average of 4,038 took in the Senators home games during the inaugural 2002-03 season.
“It has been another great season for hockey in Binghamton and the attendance increase is proof of our fans great interest in the team and the upcoming playoffs,” said Tom Mitchell, Senators executive vice president of operations.
Prior to Saturday’s game the Senators will hold the annual awards ceremony. Team awards including Man of the Year, Top Defenseman, Most Valuable Player, Rookie of the Year, Top Defensive Forward, 7th Player Award, Rocco J. Testani Star of the Year, Best +/- and the Hans Petersen Award will be presented by team officials.
Saturday is also Fan Appreciation Night with all ticket holders receiving a poster as they enter the Arena and door prizes given out to fans who receive one of several posters with a special sticker. Also at the game will be the 2005 Binghamton Mets who will sign autographs and meet with fans in the Arena concourse.
Finally, during the second intermission of Saturday’s game one of the 39 winners from this season’s Jack Sherman Toyota Chuck-A-Puck Contest will have a chance to win a Toyota vehicle courtesy of the Binghamton car dealership. Each winner will receive a key and attempt to start a car parked at center ice. One of the keys will start the car and that person will drive home in a new vehicle.
