The Ottawa Senators reassigned today center Cody Bass to the club's American Hockey League affiliate, the Binghamton Senators. Before making his return to Binghamton, Bass has been granted permission to return to his home in Owen Sound, Ont. for personal reasons.
Bass was recalled from Binghamton on Dec. 15 and made his NHL debut in a 7-3 home win over Atlanta that evening. In six games with the Senators, Bass recorded one assist and five penalty minutes. He tallied an assist in Thursday's 5-2 home win over the New York Islanders for his first NHL point.
At the time of his recall, Bass had three goals, five assists, 44 penalty minutes and a +7 rating while appearing in 24 games with the B-Sens this season.
The B-Sens hit the road this weekend for games against Philadelphia on Friday and Wilkes-Barre/Scranton on Saturday before returning home to host Bridgeport on New Year’s Eve.
