OTTAWA ASSIGNS RAY EMERY TO BINGHAMTON FOR TWO-GAME CONDITIONING STINT

The Ottawa Senators announced today that they have assigned goaltender Ray Emery to the Binghamton Senators for a two-game conditioning stint.  The 25-year-old has seen limited practice time and no regular-season action with Ottawa due to rehab from surgery to his left wrist.

Emery will start for the B-Sens this Friday, Oct. 12 when they host the Syracuse Crunch at Broome County Veterans Memorial Arena.  He is also slated to start when Binghamton continues its homestand with against the Hershey Bears on Saturday, Oct. 13.

Emery spent three seasons with the B-Sens from 2002-03 to 2004-05, compiling a 76-58-18 record in 154 career AHL games. He was named the club’s most valuable player for the 2002-03 season, going 27-17-6 with a 2.42 goals-against-average in 50 games.
