Ottawa Senators general manager John Muckler announced today that prospect Cody Bass will report to the American Hockey League's Binghamton Senators for the remainder of their season.
Bass, born in Owen Sound, Ont., played the last three and one half seasons with the Ontario Hockey League's Mississauga IceDogs before being traded to the Saginaw Spirit midway through the 2006-07 season. The Spirit were eliminated from the OHL playoffs on April 1, losing their first-round series to the Sault Ste. Marie Greyhounds in six games.
This will be Bass' second appearance in the AHL, after signing an amateur tryout agreement with Binghamton following the 2005-06 season. In nine games with the B-Sens last season, Bass collected one goal and two penalty minutes.
Binghamton’s next game is Wednesday at 7:05 p.m., when they welcome the Hershey Bears to the Arena. Fans can purchase tickets at the following locations: Broome County Veterans Memorial Arena box office (Monday – Friday, 8 a.m. – 5 p.m. and Saturday, 12 p.m. – 5 p.m.), Binghamton Senators executive office, third floor of the Arena (Monday – Friday, 8 a.m. – 5 p.m. and on game days until the end of the second period.), www.binghamtonsenators.com or by calling (607) 722-SENS.
