Josh Hennessy and Shawn Collymore collected goals on Friday night, but the Philadelphia Phantoms held on for a 4-2 win over the Binghamton Senators at Wachovia Spectrum.
The Phantoms jumped on top quick, as Matt Ellison gathered a loose puck and tapped it home for the 1-0 lead just twenty-seven seconds into the opening period.
Denis Tolpeko gave the Phantoms a two-goal lead with an even-strength tally at 13:38 of the first.
Josh Hennessy responded for the B-Sens, as the center buried his 23rd marker of the year to make it a 2-1 contest. JF David and Neil Komadoski assisted on the goal.
Tolpeko netted his second marker of the night late in the middle period to once again extend the Phantoms lead to two goals.
Shawn Collymore answered back for the B-Sens, as he scored his first goal as a Binghamton Senator to make it a 3-2 lead.
The Phantoms added a late empty-netter for the final score of the night.
