SENATORS FALL TO PENGUINS 3-2

The Binghamton Senators got two goals from Cory Pecker, but the Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Penguins held on for a 3-2 win on Wednesday night at Wachovia Arena.

The Penguins jumped out to a 2-0 lead midway through the opening period off the stick of center Rob Schremp, as he connected once on the power play and added an even-strength tally.  Newly acquired Robert Nilsson added helpers on both goals.

The B-Sens responded with their own power-play marker midway through the second period.  Cory Pecker notched his 13th goal of the year to get the Sens within one.  Defensemen Charlie Cook and Rory Rawlyk assisted on the goal.

Wilkes-Barre/Scranton was able to stretch the lead to two goals late in the period as Jonathan Filewich netted a power-play marker.

In the final minute of regulation, Pecker added his second tally of the night to make it a 3-2 final.  Danny Bois and Jeff Heerema assisted on the final goal.  Netminder Jeff Glass had 36 saves on the night.

Binghamton heads to Philadelphia on Friday night to take on the Phantoms at 7:05 p.m. Catch all the action LIVE on Q107 FM (106.7 or 104.5), via webcast or B2 Networks streaming video cast at www.binghamtonsenators.com
